How I Can Help you

Read below for a list of my current services.

Initial Consultation

I offer a free 30 minute consultation via phone or zoom (or in person if preferred in Durham or Chapel Hill) to talk about your needs and see if we would be a good fit.

Advance Diretives

We’ll work together to identify your values and priorities around end of life care, and ensure that you have the documents and paperwork in place that reflect your wishes.

Companioning

I provide a supportive presence tailored to individual needs, designed to reduce feelings of isolation.

Legacy work / life review

As we near the later stages of life, it’s normal to reflect on our past experiences and choices.  Life review helps process past life events and integrate both regrets and positive memories.  Similarly, legacy work involves creating a lasting memento for friends and family that reflects your values and who you are.  This can take the form of a collection of anecdotes, audio recordings, art work, or other things we come up with together.

Decluttering / Swedish death cleaning

Swedish death cleaning involves decluttering your home and making decisions about what to do with items prior to death, to save loved ones from the burden of doing so.  This can be an overwhelming project to do alone, and I offer support in tackling it.

Care Coordination

I can assist in coordinating help from friends and family who want to offer their support.  This may involve organizing meal trains, help with cleaning, and other errands.

I can accompany you to medical appointments and provide transportation if necessary.

Pet Doula Services

I offer support in thinking through and making decisions about the timing of euthanasia, as well as planning for euthanasia and legacy projects for pets if so desired.   I can also be present at the time of euthanasia, and provide support for children in processing the loss and staying with them so you can focus on your beloved animal.
