My name is Chandra, and I initially began doula work as a postpartum doula. I was
drawn to end of life work when I realized how often there are gaps in support available near the end of life, and how often we don’t talk openly about the end of life.
I have a Bachelor’s in Psychology and English from Duke University, and an M.S. in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University. I also have a certificate from the University of Vermont End of Life Doula program. I have 14 years of experience in social work, divided between children affected by domestic violence and work with older adults. Outside of doula work, I can usually be found reading, walking in the woods, squeezing in a Pilates class, or trying to master the art of Pickleball. I live in Chapel Hill with my family and R2 and D2, our two cats.
